Two years of pandemia forced the postponements of CIMA in Italy. The courses will take place between the 22nd and 27th of August in the historic center of Pesaro.

After eleven editions, CIMA are already an reference in Early Music education in Portugal. The courses maintain its basic objectives of disseminating early music repertoires and historically informed performance techniques as well, aiming to be a positive contribution to the growing of the movement. At CIMA, young musicians, students from conservatories and superior music schools can develop their knowledge in this area, additionally professional musicians can meet and new musical projects can emerge. With CIMA in Pesaro, MAAC aim to expand international visibility and open new opportunities to network activities to the participants.

Being Pesaro the city  Giacomo Rossini and stage of one of the most notable opera festivals in the world, the main theme could not fail to be La Voce Umana. However, other aspects of Early Music practice will also be highlighted: Instrument Masterclasses, Baroque Orchestra and Ensemble Music, Basso Continuo on the harpsichord and harp, and Medieval Music. For the Baroque Singing classes, three extraordinary singers will work different repertoires, from Early Italian Baroque, Iberian Music and Late Baroque. There will also be a baroque dance workshop, concerts by teachers, student projects and a semi-staged final show.
