Soprano, conductor and composer Magna Ferreira graduated in ESMAE - Porto. She has also a Master in Music Education (University of Minho) and a Master in Advanced Vocal Ensemble Studies (Schola Cantorum Basiliensis). From 2001 to 2003 she was a member of the now extinct Opera Studio of Casa da Música (Porto). As a conductor she was a member of the artistic direction of Guimarães Capital of Culture (Community Area) and director of the project "Vozes do Românico" (Rota do Românico). She directed and recorded several premieres, many of those from Portuguese composers. As a singer she performed in Portugal, Spain, France, Switzerland, Poland, Mexico and Brazil with ensembles and directors of recognized merit, and in several reference stages and festivals. She recorded for Antena 2, RTP, Challenge Classics, Au Fil de l'air, among others. To notice her collaboration on the album "Ruelles" awarded in France by "Académie Charles Croq". As a composer she wrote works for the groups Teatro Bruto, Otra Voz and recently premiered "Tempus Fugit" at the Vivarium Festival (Porto). As a teacher she collaborated with Casa da Música Educational Department, São João National Theater, Center Culturel de Rencontre Ambronay, University of Minho, Lusófona University, among others. She has been giving Vocal and / or Vocal Ensemble masterclasses in Portugal, Spain, France and Brazil. She is also a lecturer at ESMAE's Early Music Course (IPP) and pedagogical director of the Agolada Early Music Courses (Galicia).
